Cadastral mapping

The Cadastral (property boundaries) mapping which is part of the Freshmap range of products is based on data supplied from LINZ (Land Information New Zealand), and provides a great deal of interesting information. This is especially true in the area of legal roads, and public land.

Map Coverage

Features:

• all legal parcel descriptions, most title numbers and corporate land ownership where known
• all legal roads
• most public land (including national parks and other conservation land)
• private land ownership information is not included because of privacy restrictions in the license agreement from LINZ
• topo features added to help identify parcels in back country areas

User Features:

• these display on the cadastral maps as they do on the topomaps
• you can create 'User features' to match parcel boundaries which can then be displayed on the topo maps and transferred to a GPS.
